Jay Miriam is a Brooklyn-based artist who makes lush and expressionistic paintings of women. Her large-scale limited editions feature bold, exaggerated nudes that command our attention and lure us in with their candy-colored hues. Jay received a BFA from Carnegie Mellon and is about to embark on graduate studies in painting at the New York Academy of Art. She has had solo exhibitions in New York, Amsterdam and Poland and has been included in group exhibitions in Charleston, Rotterdam, Montreal, Brooklyn and Miami. Her work will be featured in the upcoming Sydney Contemporary Art Fair in Australia and she has an upcoming solo show in Ornis A. Gallery in Amsterdam.
One of Jay’s dream projects would be to go to the moon and look back at Earth.
