Why we love this piece
Using a layered photography technique, Elena achieves sweeping landscapes like this scene, depicting Fort Tilden in Queens, NY. Formerly a military fort, the space is now a haven for the arts and reclaimed natural areas.

Brooklyn, NY

Elena developed a passion for photography as child intrigued by Soviet cinematography and historical family photographs. She picked up her first camera as a 7 year old living in communist Ukraine before immigrating to the United States with her family seeking political asylum.
