Travis Boyer
Travis Boyer is a fiber and textile artist working with various fabrics such as velvet and silk, but he also incorporates sculpture and installation into his exhibitions and performances. His debut solo exhibition in Manhattan received critical acclaim in the New Yorker, which noted, “Tensions between luxury and kitsch, delicacy and swagger, and intimacy and threat are palpable.” His Texas upbringing contrasts the liberalism inherent to his NYC artist community, and this duality informs his creative process and artistic vision.
Boyer's museum collections include the High Museum of Art in Atlanta and he has exhibited at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
