Jason Rohlf
Milwaukee-born, Brooklyn-based painter Jason Rohlf creates abstract compositions using an explorative layering technique. Inspired by the surroundings of his daily life, Jason reconstructs the visual motifs of our information saturated era into abstract forms that make us contemplate the way we perceive and analyze the information around us. Jason attended the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and moved to New York in 1999. He has exhibited across the United States, lectured at the Pratt Institute, Bowling Green University, and Lawrence University, and was recently awarded the Sam and Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts Artist in Residency.
Messy, messy.
Jason was recently commissioned to create a public installation for the MTA.
