Yorgos develops his minimal paintings through a method of deconstruction, resulting in spontaneous and unpredictable works.

For Yorgos, painting is a subtractive rather than additive process—although minimal in appearance, his process is anything but. He describes his approach as “blind painting;” he alternates between applying layers of masking material and airbrush paint, which he then peels away to unveil the underlying composition. The result is a deconstructed, multi-layered work that, upon closer inspection, reveals traces of the materials used.
