Winston’s paintings teeter on the line between abstract and representational, exuding a sensational feel through vivid colors and bold brush strokes.
Winston Chmielinski has developed a painting style distinctly his own. His paintings are known for their colorful and sometimes meditative qualities. He works within the balance of abstraction and representation in order to achieve a sensational and ephemeral feel in his compositions. Recognized for their bright and bold hues, Winston’s color palettes are inspired by the radiant glow and colors of art when viewed on a computer screen. As an artist, he processes everything going on in his life through painting and believes it brings out the best in him. He says the subjects of his paintings are “people that cast an interesting shadow” and is constantly inspired by the images, photos, and writings that he collects.
