Why we love this piece
In Mathew's personal history, this piece marks when he moved to America as a teenager in the 90's. He quickly became enamoured with American skater culture, evident in his street art ethos and signature stencil and spraypaint technique.
Mathew Curran
Born: Northamptonshire, England|Lives:

Raleigh, NC

After coming to the United States from England as a teenager, Mathew Curran became enamored with American skateboarding and graffiti culture. This early influence, along with his college studies in fine art and graphic design, allowed him to develop an internationally renowned, unique, and powerfully intricate stencil art style. He finds beauty in the painstaking repetition of cutting tiny holes out of paper.
